Saugeen Shores preparing Asset Management Plan

The Town of Saugeen Shores is beginning a study to determine the ideal levels of service in the community when it comes to maintaining, repairing, and replacing municipal assets.

The project is expected to meet Asset Management requirements from the province. The Town is working with consultants to help develop metrics for proposed levels of service and the strategic plan to reach those goals.

The Town plans to hold two Public Information Centres (PICs) over the course of the study.

The first one will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre, on Victoria St N, in Southampton.

Participants will get preliminary information on the project and can provide input on the key areas of focus. There will be a brief presentation on the topic of proposed levels of service, and project team members will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the subject.

This study is a Major Initiative for the Development Services department, as outlined in the 2024 Business Plan approved by Council.
