Kincardine man charged after knife pulled on police

A Kincardine man is accused of threatening South Bruce OPP officers with a knife.

Police were called about an unwanted person at a home on Queen Street around 4:15 p.m. on Monday. When officers arrived, the person allegedly pulled a knife on officers.

After a brief struggle, the person was arrested.

No injuries were reported.

A 30-year-old Kincardine man is charged with two counts each of assaulting a peace officer with a weapon and failing to comply with probation and one count each of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, resisting police, and possession of stolen property.

At a bail hearing following the arrest, the man was remanded into custody, police said.
