The Economic Developers Association of Canada has recognized Bruce County's Explore the Bruce Rewards app.
The app has earned a prestigious Marketing Canada Award under the Social Media App Category.
The county launched the app in 2024 to spotlight activites, local shops, destinations, and culinary delights across Bruce County
Residents and visitors can use the interactive app and collect reward points. Points can be redeemed for rewards like stickers, pins, hats, and T-shirts.
Bruce County wanted the app to bring in more visitors who will stay longer at all times of the year. The app also points the way to less known destinations in the region.
Driftscape helped develop the app with help from area businesses, local tourism operators, and municipalities.
The app has been downloaded 1,341 times so far, exceeding a goal of 750 downloads in the second quarter.
