Owen Sound Police Service participating in Crime Prevention Week

Owen Sound Police Service is participating in Ontario's annual Crime Prevention Week.

Running from November 3-9, the annual promotion around preventing crime is supported by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP), the Ministry of the Solicitor General, and police services across Ontario.

This year's theme is "Awareness in Action: Keeping Ontario Safe Together," and it aims to highlight the important role of community engagement in crime prevention and policing.

You can learn more about Crime Prevention Week and access extensive crime prevention information at https://www.owensoundpolice.com/community-safety-supports/crime-prevention/.

“People in our community deserve to live and work in a safe and healthy environment.  Most types of crimes are preventable, and Crime Prevention Week is a great opportunity for everyone to consider what they can do to keep their families, neighbourhoods, schools, and workplaces safe from criminal activities,” said Chief Craig Ambrose.
