Hanover Police investigating after sewing needle found in Halloween candy

It’s a Halloween nightmare no parent wants to experience.

According to Hanover Police, a sewing needle was allegedly found on Monday inside a KitKat chocolate bar that a kid received while trick-or-treating.

Fortunately, the child found the needle before being hurt.

The family does not know which property they got the chocolate bar from; however, it likely came from a south end subdivision.

Police are urging parents check all candy before allowing their kids to eat it.

Anyone with information on this investigation is asked to contact Hanover Police at 519-364-2411 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS).
