Work to improve the traffic lights at a busy Port Elgin intersection will cause temporary delays throughout the day on Wednesday.
The Town of Saugeen Shores announced the traffic light system at Market Street and Goderich Street (Highway 21) will undergo an upgrade, with the lights potentially being non-operational between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Signs indicating the traffic lights are out will be posted in all four directions for vehicles approaching the intersection, the town said in a statement.
Additionally, Market Street between Goderich and Waterloo streets will be closed to allow crews to use the area for construction staging.
The work is expected to be completed before the end of the day.
