North Perth Public Library will be hosting a number of events at local branches for Ontario Public Library Week.
The library is inviting local residents to come "connect and celebrate" Ontario public libraries with week-long events starting this weekend. Events include:
-Free Library card sign up or replacement
-Draws for prizes
-Programs
-Meet Pete the Cat
-Giveaways
-Storywalk
Events will start at the Listowel Branch on Saturday, October 19 from 10-3, the Atwood Branch on Monday, October 21 from 12-5, or the Monkton Branch on Thursday, October 24 from 3-8.
“The North Perth Public Library’s mission is to connect the community to services, people, and resources to add to the quality of life and enjoyment of life in North Perth,” said CEO Ellen Whelan. “A priority of the North Perth Public Library Board is to remove barriers to access; we have been fine free since 2021, introduce new collections annually and new programs every month that all residents of North Perth can access free of charge.”
