Pedestrian killed in North Perth crash

One person has died in a collision involving a pedestrian in the Municipality of North Perth.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Highway 23, just north of Line 77 at around 8 p.m. Saturday night when a pedestrian was struck on the roadway.

Police said an 84-year-old North Perth resident was pronounced dead on the scene.

No further injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing and members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team are assisting with the investigation.
