The Wingham and District Hospital emergency department will be temporarily closed for a portion of the day on September 29.
The Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance made the announcement that the ED in Wingham will be closed from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
LWHA states that the closure is due to "staffing shortages" and the organization regrets having to close the ED in Wingham.
Ambulances will bypass the hospital during the closure period and travel to the nearest open ED.
