Total local rainfall amounts near 30 to 45 mm.

Beginning late this afternoon or this evening tapering off through Wednesday morning.

Discussion:
Showers are expected to push into the region through the afternoon as a moisture laden system moves into the Great Lakes Basin. The showers are expected to become more widespread and heavy at times tonight along with the risk for thunderstorms as a more unstable air mass moves in. Showers will continue into Wednesday morning but are expected to become more isolated and ease off in intensity. Some areas may potentially receive in excess of 45 mm and may require to be upgraded to a rainfall warning. There still remains a high degree of uncertainty on where the heaviest rain will setup.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Bruce County will be temporarily closing a local road for repairs this week.On Thursday, September 26, Bruce County will close a portion of Bruce Road 3 from Church Street to North Street in Paisley from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. The county notes that the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie will complete sanitary sewer work during that time.That section of roadway will remain open to local traffic only. Signage will be in place during the closure. Users are asked to use the identified detour route, to be patient, and drive safely.
