A Brampton man faces assault charges after a viral video captured him threatening a restaurant worker at Blue Mountain Resort.
The incident took place on September 15, 2024, when the man and a woman, accompanied by a child in a stroller, allegedly left a restaurant at the resort without paying their $350 bill. When confronted by staff, the man became aggressive, hurling threats in a profanity-laden tirade.
In the video, which has been viewed over 1.7 million times on social media, the man can be seen advancing toward a restaurant employee, shouting, “I’ll knock you the [expletive] out. You don’t know me, and you don’t know what I can do.”
Authorities say the viral video helped lead to the arrest of a 38-year-old man from Brampton. He has since been charged with assault and uttering threats to cause bodily harm. While the bill was eventually paid in full, police are continuing their investigation. The man is scheduled to appear in court on October 24 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.
