One dead after crash near Arthur

Wellington County OPP say one person is dead after a collision near Arthur.

Just after 6:15 a.m. on Monday, September 16, emergency crews were called to a three-vehicle crash on Wellington Road 109 just west of Arthur.

Emergency responders were told a white sedan had collided with a transport truck and another commercial vehicle. The driver and a passenger of the sedan where taken to hospital, where the driver, a 38-year-old from Kincardine, was pronounced dead. The passenger was treated for injuries considered to be non-life threatening.

Wellington Road 109 was closed between Concession 7 and Concession 6 South near Arthur for the investigation.

Police continue to investigate the crash and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
