Peaceful end to incident northeast of Teeswater

A late night incident that drew a large police presence to a rural road south of Formosa had a peaceful ending, according to South Bruce OPP.

Police were called to Sideroad 1B between Concession 10 and Concession 8 in Bruce County around 11 p.m. Sunday for what was only described as an "ongoing" investigation. Residents were asked to avoid the area while officers were on scene.

Roughly four hours later, police announced the matter had been resolved "peacefully". They also thanked the public for their cooperation and understanding in temporarily steering clear of the area.

Police have offered no other details about what transpired or whether any charges will be laid.
