The Town of Minto will be celebrating Culture Days this fall once again.
Erin Raftis, Marketing and Community Development Coordinator, says Culture Days is a weeks-long national celebration of local arts and culture.
"Culture Days is a 3-week long celebration of arts and culture across the country. The Town of Minto is participating by hosting a large variety of free events and activities that celebrate the culture in Minto," Raftis shared.
Sponsored by Minto’s Cultural Roundtable, Minto's Culture Days celebration will be between September 20 and October 13. Events are all entirely free and will be located across Harriston, Clifford, and Palmerston.
Those events include a new one this year.
"We have over a dozen events, from things like crafts and movement workshops, things like that. We're kicking off Culture Days this year with a new event, a global tile workshop, which is an event where you can paint your own tile as part of a national mosaic, which is kind of cool. We're really excited about that one," Raftis said excitedly.
Old favourites will be returning this year, as well.
"We have some old favourites like Apples and Astronomy. You can tour apple orchards and enjoy stargazing through a cool telescope. There's various events hosted by community groups, like the dance party hosted by our Minto Youth Action Council, the farmer's market has a Fall Fun Day, and loads of other things like that," added Raftis.
