Witnesses sought to serious motorcycle crash near Sauble Beach

Provincial police are asking anyone who witnesses a serious motorcycle crash near Sauble Beach late last week to come forward.

The bike collided with a vehicle on Bruce Road 8 between Municipal Road and Bruce Road 14 in South Bruce Peninsula around 6:50 p.m. last Thursday.

The 21-year-old motorcyclist from Owen Sound was airlifted to hospital with injuries described as "serious". No other injuries were reported.

Grey Bruce OPP continue to investigate the cause of the collision. On Wednesday, police issued a plea for anyone who may have seen the crash or either of the two involved vehicles in the moments prior to call them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Investigators have also said that dash-cam footage of the incident would be appreciated.

The collision kept the road closed for several hours and was the fourth time last week the air ambulance was required to transport a crash victim in the region to hospital.
