Driver charged with impaired driving after rear-end collision

A 26-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving after a rear-end collision in Owen Sound.

Police said the collision occurred on Saturday just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of 9th Avenue East and 10th Street East.

A minivan was waiting to turn right when a Versa rear-ended it. There were no injuries as a result of the incident but both vehicles sustained substantial damage.

Officers believed the male driving the Versa had been consuming alcohol and subsequently failed a roadside screening test.
