UPDATE: Police identify driver involved in hit-and-run with cyclist

A recent hit-and-run in Huron County is under investigation.

Huron County OPP say a commercial vehicle hit a female cyclist that was stopped at the corner of Main Street South and Wellington Street in Exeter just after 10 a.m. on August 21.

The driver of the commercial vehicle drove off, and the cyclist sustained minor injuries.

On Thursday afternoon, the OPP reported that the driver turned themselves in to the detachment and has been identified.

Police would like to thank the public for its assistance in this matter.
