One suspect arrested, more sought in Kincardine clothing store break-in

A 40-year-old is facing charges after back-to-back break-ins at a Kincardine clothing store.

South Bruce OPP were notified about the break and enters at an unnamed business on Queen Street on Sunday. Police determined the store was broken into two nights in a row late last week.

Roughly $2,500 worth of clothing was stolen, police said.

After appealing to the public for information on Tuesday, police announced Wednesday morning that a 40-year-old from Kincardine had been arrested in connection with the incidents. That person is charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Police believe additional people were involved in the break-ins and are working to identify them.

Residents and businesses in the area are asked to check their surveillance footage for anything suspicious from between 5 p.m. August 15 to 8 a.m. August 16 and 9 p.m. August 17 to 8 a.m. August 18.
