A Huron County paramedic is being recognized for the level of care he provides to patients in the prehospital setting.
The Southwest Ontario Regional Base Hospital Program has awarded David Bisback the Medical Director’s Commendation Award. The honour is bestowed upon paramedics who deliver exceptional care to patients in the prehospital setting.
Bisback was specifically selected for the award for his contribution to the mentor and education program for Huron County Paramedic Service and the supervision he provides to paramedic students and high school co-op students. According to the Southwest Ontario Regional Base Hospital Program, Bisback has been "instrumental" in staff’s medical education, training, and resources.
“Our local paramedics go above the call of duty every day and Paramedic David Bisback’s commitment to the mentoring and education program is a perfect example of that,” Director of Emergency Services Chief Jeff Horseman said in a statement. “The Huron County Emergency Services Team congratulates Paramedic David Bisback for receiving this award and his well-deserved recognition."
Award recipients are nominated by peers, service administration, chart auditor, hospital physicians or the Southwest Ontario Regional Base Hospital Program medical directors.
