One person is facing charges following an investigation into an assault in Listowel.
On the morning of August 10, Perth County OPP began investigating a reported assault that had occurred between 3:15 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street West and Mitchell Road South in Listowel.
One person was seriously injured after being stabbed. That person was taken to a local hospital to be treated.
As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old from Listowel has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault. The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
