Charges laid in child luring investigation

Huron County OPP have charged one person following an investigation into child luring.

Police have revealed that they have charged a 27-year-old Cambridge man with a slew of charges related to an investigation that began in March of this year.

Investigators determined the suspect was communicating with a victim under the age of 13 using a social media site.

As a result, the suspect has been charged with making sexually explicit material available to a person under 18 and 16 years of age, luring a person under 18 and 16 years of age by means of telecommunication, invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age, and possession of child pornography.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and later remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Goderich in August 2024.

The investigators believe there are other incidents similar to this one that involve the suspect. Alias usernames utilized by the suspect online included "Stintam", "Stalkham", "Jason Stintam", and "Jason Stalkham". Police say he also used the Bitmoji (animated facial rendering) images below.
