Water sampling shows one local beach still unsafe in Huron County

Recent water sampling tests have confirmed that one beach is still unfit for swimming in Huron County.

According to the Huron Beach Info account on "X", formerly Twitter, the Goderich Main Beach is still unsafe for swimming due to elevated levels of bacteria.

The most recent samples were taken on August 7, and re-sampling is being conducted on August 9. Huron Beach Info shares that results from the August 9 re-sample will be posted on their account on August 10.

For now, residents are advised to not swim at the Goderich Main Beach and to keep pets and children away from the water, as elevated bacteria levels could cause illness.
