Kincardine will run a routine test of the town's public alert siren this month.
A news release from the town shares that the Municipality of Kincardine does public alerting testing to ensure the devices it utilizes to notify the public are in working order.
The Kincardine Alert or RAVE program is a software program that is free for Kincardine residents to sign up for, and it allows multiple ways to reach residents before, during, and after possible emergency situations.
On July 17 the town will test the Alert FM devices as well as Kincardine Alert RAVE system. Users will be informed that siren testing will take place on the following day, July 18, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
The town wants to ensure no one is confused or disturbed by this routine test of the alert system and siren.
