RIDE Program nabs drugs in traffic stop

A local RIDE Program being conducted in Bruce County resulted in a drug seizure.

South Bruce OPP officers were conducting the RIDE Program traffic stop on June 22, and at 2:07 a.m., police stopped a vehicle in Brockton.

Police allegedly spotted illicit drugs in plain view in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of substances.

As a result, police arrested and charged a 20-year-old from Hensall with possession of a schedule 1 substance.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
