The Grey Bruce OPP have arrested and charged one person following a recent assault.
On June 17 around 5 p.m., police were called regarding an alleged assault that occurred on Purple Valley Road in South Bruce Peninsula.
Investigators were told that the victim was hit on the head and then the suspect left in a vehicle. Police located the accused individual a short time later. The victim received minor injuries.
As a result, police arrested and charged a 39-year-old from Georgian Bluffs with assault with a weapon and failure to comply with a release order.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
