Stonetown Heritage Festival to focus on art and culture

This year's Stonetown Heritage Festival, from July 12 to 14 in St. Marys, allows you to admire local art and culture.

The Artists at Riverwalk Commons will be at the Riverwalk Commons building from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 13. There, you can buy and look at art, highlighting Peter Rice. Sculptures and art cards from his latest "Quiet Reflections" collection will be available.

Bonn Richardson and Henry Bukenya will also display their artwork.

"The artists at Riverwalk Commons will highlight the vibrancy that art brings to our community," said Alanna Bowes, events coordinator for the Town of St. Marys. "This show's goal is to highlight the artists' passion and talent through interactive demonstrations."

If you have an interest in local heritage, photos will be available at the Riverview Walkway. Walking tours leave Town Hall at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Bus tours will leave on the hour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the same location.
