The centre boasts unique cultural and identity features, such as Indigenous art, sacred spaces, access to Elders, and designated beds for Indigenous and transgender clients. Treatment plans will be customized to meet individual needs, offering a wide array of services to support clients at each stage of their recovery journey.
“The Wellness and Recovery Centre places equity at its core, providing innovative treatments in a kind, supportive environment, no matter where patients are on their recovery journey,” added Director of Mental Health and Addictions Naomi Vodden.
The Brightshores Health System extended heartfelt thanks to the community, its Board of Directors, Foundations, Donors, and all involved in making this facility a reality.
