Wingham hospital receives another $10,000 towards Caring Together campaign

The Wingham and District Hospital has received a $10,000 donation from the Trillium ROOTS Council for the hospital's Caring Together campaign.

The campaign is working towards a new CT scanner.

"ROOTS stands for Recognizing Our Opportunity to Support and contributing to a CT scanner that will provide important care to so many people is certainly a wonderful way for us to give back to our community," said Tracy MacDonald, Trillium President and CEO.

A media release sent out by the hospital said Trillium is particularly dedicated to supporting healthcare initiatives because without them, the well-being and sustainability of the area's rural communities would suffer.

The Wingham and District Hospital says it is getting closer to its goal of $2.5 million. As of May 30, it is at $2.1 million.

Anyone interested in donating can do so here.
