Clinton preparing to celebrate 150 years

Clinton is gearing up to celebrate 150 years in 2025, with a meeting quickly approaching on May 8.

Alison Lobb, a planning committee member, said the group is looking for more volunteers and ideas on how to celebrate.

"We are encouraging everyone to turn out so we can make some decisions," said Alison Lobb. "We've had a lot of interesting ideas for things that they could do to celebrate 150 years from parades to a theatre production. We have to narrow it down and select some dates."

The meeting will take place at the Council Chambers in Clinton Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. on May 8. At the meeting, the group also hopes to pick a chairperson.

"They can come to as many or as few meetings as they want to express what their real interest is in," said Lobb. "If they're unable to attend the meeting, they could email me."

Lobb can be reached at [email protected].
