Stratford Police say they've recovered over $26,000 worth of fentanyl and other controlled substances in a bust that also led to four people being charged.
According to police, the charges stemmed from an investigation into trafficking from a Queen Street residence on March 1.
First, police arrested a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old man, after attending the house in question. Police say a search of their vehicle found 78 grams of fentanyl and $3,400 in cash. The two were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Later that day, police arrested a 36-year-old woman and 41-year-old man. At the time of her arrest, the woman was allegedly in possession of a small quantity of fentanyl and LSD. She is facing several counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.
The 41-year-old man is also facing a possession for the purpose of trafficking charge.
Police say a search of the Queen Street residence found 129 grams of fentanyl, along with small amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine.
All four will appear in Stratford court in April.
