Guelph Humane Society launches cupid treats campaign

The Guelph Humane Society is looking to spread love to the animals in their care.

This will be done through a special treat which Cupid's Treats for Furry Feets.

The community is being invited to support animals in need while receiving a heartwarming video on Valentine's Day of an animal in their care enjoying the treat.

"February can be challenging for GHS as it is a time of year when needs are at a high, adoptions are low and donations have slowed," said GHS Director of Communication and Community Engagement Jane Dawkins. "Community support through initiatives such as this allows us to continue to provide essential care and comfort to as many animals as possible," she said.

The community can purchase treats until noon on Tuesday through GHS's website.

"Donating to give a Cupid's Treat is a fun way to get the community involved in our work," Dawkins said.

On Valentines Day, those who purchase treats for either a bunny, cat, dog or all three will receive the video of an animal eating the treat.
