The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance says the Seaforth Hospital emergency department is closing overnight Friday.
The closure will begin at 9 p.m. due staffing shortages.
It will reopen Saturday, (February 10) at 7 a.m., at which point regular 24/7 operations will resume.
The HPHA says anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1. Paramedics will re-route to the nearest available Emergency Department.
The closest 24-hour Emergency Departments to Seaforth are Exeter, Goderich and Stratford.
