Stolen Kitchener truck recovered in Huron East

A Paris woman is facing numerous charges after she was found trespassing on Huron East property last month.

Huron County OPP say the homeowners arrived home just after 9 p.m. on January 31 and found the woman and a pickup truck on their Newry Road property. According to police, she requested gas and asked if she could charge her cell phone.

Police arrived and determined the truck had been reported stolen from the Kitchener area.

The 43-year-old woman was placed under arrest and faces charges for possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, failure to comply with probation, and trespassing at night.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled in Goderich later this month.
