Charges laid following threat

Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person after threats were made in a recent confrontation.

On January 28 at 1 p.m., police responded to a complaint in Hensall in the Municipality of Bluewater. It was alleged that a threat had been made.

Police spoke with the complainant who advised police they had been threatened by an individual known to them.

Officers located the accused and placed them under arrest. A 44-year-old Bluewater resident has been charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death.

The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for March 18, 2024, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich to answer to the charge.

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
