Stratford Police Service have made an arrest and laid numerous charges following the execution of a search warrant.
On January 23 just after 6 p.m., the Stratford Police Service Street Crime Unit conducted a search warrant at a residence on Cawston Street in Stratford.
The warrant was executed following an investigation into illicit drugs that began in 2023. Police seized 108 grams of fentanyl worth over $32,000, 181 grams of cocaine worth over $18,000, 13 grams of methamphetamine worth over $1,300, 71 different hydromorphone pills worth over $1,450 and 2 oxycodone pills worth over $60.
Additionally, officers seized a large amount of Canadian and American cash, multiple BB and air soft guns, 2 crossbow arrows and other drug paraphernalia.
As a result, a 56-year-old resident of Stratford has been arrested and now faces a lengthy list of charges. The accused was allegedly in possession of a handheld explosive device, documents not in the accused's name and a small amount of crack cocaine.
The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
