Water distribution repairs to shut down local water system for roughly 12 hours

Georgian Bluffs is reminding residents that repairs to some of the local water distribution system will affect access to water.

On Thursday, January 25 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., the Ontario Clean Water Agency will be doing leak repairs on the water distribution system along Grey Road 1.

Areas that will be affected during the repairs include:

  • East Linton Side Road to Old Beach Drive

  • Indian Acres Road

  • Balmy Beach Road (south)

  • Maple Ridge Road

Operators will isolate sections of the system by throttling down water main valves. This water distribution repair exercise could cause low or no available water pressure and may cause some water discolouration for all users situated within the area of the service disruption.

If you experience any discolouration, please run the cold water in all your faucets for 4- 5 minutes and refrain from using hot water or doing laundry until water runs clear again.

This notice applies to residents that received a notice only.
