The Stratford Police Service says three people are charged with assault and forcible confinement after a woman was assaulted at a Cawston Street residence.
According to the SPS, around 2 a.m. on January 2, a woman with visible injuries to her head and face flagged down police.
Earlier that night, the female victim attended the residence, where she reported being dragged inside.
The trio allegedly forcibly removed her purse, smashed her cellphone, and threatened her with a weapon.
After the assault, police say she was pushed out of the residence where she was able to contact officers.
Police placed the three under arrest and conducted a search of the residence, which turned up four replica pellet guns, brass knuckles, bear spray, $240 in counterfeit money, and an ounce of suspected methamphetamine.
The three were held in custody to attend a bail hearing, facing charges including robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and possession of counterfeit money.
