The Huron County OPP rescued a hurt snowy owl after receiving a call from a concerned citizen.
On December 28 at 11 a.m., officers responded to Long Hill Road in Bayfield, where the citizen had found the owl, that was unable to fly.
Police got in touch with The Owl Foundation, an organization in the Niagara Falls area, who immediately sent a volunteer to pick up the snowy owl and take it back to its facility.
OPP caught the bird, meeting the volunteer in Clinton.
Huron County OPP are extending a gracious thank you to the citizen who called and the team of volunteers that came together to help the animal.
