UPDATE: missing man found dead

Provincial police say the search for a missing man in the Bognor Marsh area has reached a tragic conclusion.

On Wednesday, at about 12:45 p.m., police received a report that a 38-year-old man named Jason was believed to be in the Bognor Marsh area. He had last been seen on December 2 in Peel Region and officers were concerned about his wellbeing.

On Thursday morning, police said area residents would notice an increased police presence in the area of Bognor Marsh as they searched for the man.

However, on Thursday afternoon, police announced that the man had been found dead.

Police do not suspect foul play.
