A freezing rain warning is in effect for the region. Ice accumulation of two to five millimetres is expected on some surfaces on the afternoon of November 8 and into the evening.
Rain may begin as snow in the afternoon, switching to freezing rain. It will slowly switch to regular rain overnight.
Environment Canada says ice on the ground and road surfaces will vary, as the ground is still fairly warm in some areas.
Drivers and pedestrians are reminded to be careful on the roadways and sidewalks.
The temperature is expected to rise to 4 C by the morning of November 9.
