OPP investigating fatal two-vehicle crash

A 45-year-old Brockton resident has died following a two-vehicle collision in Howick.

First responders were called to the intersection of Howick-Turnberry Road and Fordwich Line just after 12 a.m. on Sunday.

"Upon arrival, emergency services located both heavily damaged vehicles and discovered that there were a total of three occupants involved," Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said.

The drivers of a passenger vehicle and a pickup truck were both injured and were taken to hospital for treatment. The passenger of one of the vehicles was declared dead at the scene.

The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
