Conservation authority awards annual scholarship

The Grey Sauble Conservation Authority has announced this year's Malcolm Kirk Environmental Scholarship winner.

The scholarship is given out annually in honour of Malcolm Kirk, who passed away in 2012. Kirk was instrumental in acquiring a large chunk of the lands that the GSCA manages now.

This year's winner of the scholarship is Owen Sound native, Alexander Adair. Alexander is off to pursue a degree in Wildlife Biology and Conservation at the University of Guelph.

Adair says his ultimate goal is to become a wildlife veterinarian.

Deadlines for next year's Malcolm Kirk Environmental Scholarship applications is May 31, 2024.
