More closures will be affecting local emergency departments.
The South Bruce Grey Health Centre confirms that the Walkerton ED will close at 5 p.m. Fiday, September 22, and re-open Sunday, September 24 at 7 a.m.
The Walkerton ED will also close Sunday, September 24 at 5 p.m, reopening at 7 a.m. on Monday, September 25. It will close again that Monday at 5 p.m., reopening at 7 a.m. the following day.
Additionally, the public is reminded that the Durham Emergency Department will be closed during the following periods:
Friday, September 22 – closing at 5:00 p.m., reopening Saturday, September 23 at 7:00 a.m.
Saturday, September 23 – closing at 5:00 p.m., reopening Sunday, September 24 at 7:00 a.m.
Thursday, September 28 – closing at 5:00 p.m., reopening Friday, September 29 at 7:00 a.m.
Friday, September 29 – closing at 5:00 p.m., reopening Saturday, September 30 at 7:00 a.m.
Saturday, September 30 closing at 5:00 p.m., reopening Sunday October 1 at 7:00 a.m.
Ambulance by-pass has been undertaken to divert patients to the nearest open ED.
