Police investigating "offensive" graffiti

South Bruce OPP are investigating a recent mischief in Walkerton.

Police were called on September 15 about a report of "offensive" graffiti that was tagged on an outbuilding at the soccer fields along East Ridge Road. The graffiti was applied with green spray paint.

Investigators and town staff believe the graffiti was sprayed on sometime between September 8 and September 14.

Police are reminding the public that the cost to remove graffiti can be expensive, and anyone caught doing graffiti can be charged with mischief, which can carry a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
