Youth on Reconciliation opens soon at local museum

The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre will soon open an exhibit on Reconciliation.

The exhibit, titled the Legacy of Hope Foundation: Youth on Reconciliation, opens on September 18. The exhibition is open to the public and runs until November 30.

It will feature poems and different art pieces that were done by winners of the very first Imagine a Canada competition, held in March 2016. The pieces all explore the concept of reconciliation through the young people who created them, and what reconciliation means to the youth of Canada.

Young people can submit their own artwork by September 14 to the museum for a chance to win a Nintendo Switch Lite. All artwork submitted will be displayed.

The exhibit is put on in partnership with the Legacy of Hope Foundation (LHF), Saugeen Ojibway Nation (SON), Saugeen Advocacy for Healing, M’Wikwedong Indigenous Friendship Centre, Bruce Grey Catholic School Board, Bluewater District School Board, Grey Bruce Community Legal Clinic and Grey Bruce Health Services
