Multiple fire departments battle blaze in Lions Head

A fire at Foodland on Webster Street in Lions Head needed several fire departments to work together to extinguish the blaze.

Pictures were uploaded on the Pike Bay Facebook page on Tuesday, clearly showing smoke billowing from the building.

"No one was hurt, from what I could see," said Emily Burgess, who lives across from the grocery store. "It's still intact, looks like minimal damage from the outside. Inside may be a different story."

The Grey Bruce OPP said local fire departments extinguished the fire and no injuries were reported. It has been deemed not suspicious and the damage estimate is not yet known.
