Clinton's mural that was one of six murals provided to six municipalities by the county is now complete.
Community Improvement Coordinator Angela Smith says the mural is finally done after a lot of work.
“So the mural is complete and its in the upstairs of the town hall waiting for installation. It will be installed the first week of October on Isaac Street and it is going to be animated," Smith explained.
Smith says she first saw an animated mural in Toronto and was impressed enough that she's bringing that technology to Clinton. She says they will also be animating six other murals that have been hanging in Clinton for some time.
“So the animated mural tour is within Clinton and we will have seven murals that are animated when the project is complete We're going to start at the beginning of October and the others will follow in as they become completed over a week or two," Smith said.
When people come to visit any one of the murals, Smith adds they can hold their phone up to the mural, which will trigger the animation that will consist of a miniature movie about the subjects that are in the mural.
Smith says more information about all of the murals and the story behind them can be found on the Central Huron BIA web site.
