Local retiree wins over $67,000

A retired Grey County man won over $67,000 in a Lotto Max draw earlier this month.

Peter Potts of Clarksburg claimed $67,803 from the OLG Prize Centre after winning second prize in the August 8 draw.

The 68-year-old father said he plays the lottery weekly.

“I’ve been going to the convenience store to buy my tickets for quite some time,” he says. “The clerks are great people and they’re so happy for me!”

Potts says he plans on traveling with his winnings, noting he had previously fly-fished in the Bahamas and would love to go again.

The winning ticket was purchased at Thornbury Express Mart on Arthur Street in Thornbury.
