A Perth County youth has been charged with sexual assault following a week-long probe by police.
Perth County OPP began their investigation into allegations of sexual assault in the Township of Perth East on August 14.
Police say their investigation confirmed the victim was sexually assaulted. They also sustained minor injuries.
As a result, a 16-year-old resident of Perth County was charged with sexual assault on a person under 16.
The accused will appear in Stratford court at a later date.
Their identify is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
