A second person has been charged in connection with an Owen Sound homicide that took place last month.
The OPP and Owen Sound Police Service announced on August 22 they've charged a 25-year-old from North York with first-degree murder, for a shooting that took place at an apartment complex on 6th Avenue West on July 11, 2023.
Officers responded to a call around 1 a.m. that morning where they located a deceased individual from what they believe was a targeted shooting.
The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
A 34-year-old Owen Sound man is also facing first-degree murder charges.
Police are also asking for video surveillance from July 10 at 11 p.m. to July 11 at 3:30 a.m. in the following identified areas in Owen Sound:
1) Area between Alpha Street to 1st Ave West, between 10th Street West and 14th Street West.
2) Area between 2nd Ave West to 8th Ave West, between 26th Street West and 29th Street West.
3) Area between 2nd Ave East to 4th Ave East, between 17th Street East and 18th Street East.
